Occupational health and safety (OHS), is defined as the science of anticipating, identifying, evaluating and controlling hazards that may affect the health and well-being of workers in or from the workplace. In this study; some basic definitions and concepts related to OHS, history, basic principles, objectives, national policies, risk factors in the work environment, working conditions, legislation and preventive health and safety culture are examined from the perspective of “occupational health and public health“.
