Abstract

Social responsibility activities can be carried out at the individual and/or corporate level. There are principles that need to be met to maintain individual and societal benefits. Transparency, accountability, monitoring, and evaluation are among the prominent principles. These principles are compatible with the perspective of public health as well as the specified goals of public health built both for the individual and society. Conducting the studies with a scientific approach enables the fulfillment of these principles. In this article, it is aimed at discussing the place of social responsibility activities in public health, the issues that need to be given priority, and developing recommendations to ensure individual and community benefit.
